Never assume

I have never discussed remuneration in a job interview.

I received the official invitation for the GP job and was gobsmacked to find out that they were offering $4.00 an hour more than I could get working in a shoe shop.  It's not about the money.  But it is about being paid an amount that reflects qualifications and experience.

Suffice to say I won't be starting tomorrow.

And I will never assume that the pay will reflect the responsibilities required in a job.

I feel like shit.

  1. Oh no! That is SO disappointing. Fingers crossed for next time, yes? But good on you for not selling yourself short. Too many of us do that.
