The excitement is mounting

Everyone, it seems, is hanging out for Friday. The excitement is tangible. Even if people aren't planning to do anything, the knowledge that they CAN (if fully vaxxed of course) is almost overwhelming. People are planning catch ups with family; drives into the hills (just not regional Victoria just yet) and down to the beach; meals out and more catch ups with family.

Assuming Amy's final test comes back negative, Three and his lot will be allowed out on Friday as well. I am having brunch with 3 friends from my craft group on Saturday.

We had the concrete driveway cut into sections this morning. Lordy it was noisy. On Monday they will lift said slabs and prepare it for the bitumen which will go down over the next couple of days. The garage door should be here on Friday. That one we will believe when we see it.

It's a glorious day. The dogs have been well and truly run ragged and are currently lying in front of the open front door panting. Shortly they will fall asleep. Himself has gone to get fish and chips for lunch. Well, why not?

All in all, it's turning into a pretty good day.

  1. Fish and chips for tea! Is it Friday?
We plan to eat out Friday night, but we haven't booked and I don't know if we will be able to.
So your concrete driveway is a bit broken and you are replacing it with bitumen? Bitumen looks nicer.
